Maiden Post & Monkey Joke

In From the Editor in the April/May issue of Womeninc, I talked about my favorite joke. I’m pretty sure Dad was the one who originally told it to me and, well, I think it’s cute.
As promised, here is the joke in its entirety. I apologize in advance for how lame you may think it is…
One day, Ole and Sven came out of the local coffee shop to find a monkey standing on the sidewalk. The monkey walked right up to them and Ole saw he was wearing a collar from the town zoo. Ole said, “I need to take Lena to the doctor’s today, so Sven, you’ll have to take this monkey back to the zoo.” Sven agreed, and the friends parted – Ole walking one way, Sven and the monkey walking another.
Later on, Ole and Lena were returning from the doctor. Driving along Main Street, they saw Sven walking down the sidewalk with the monkey. Ole pulled up beside the pair and said, “Sven! What are you doing? I thought I told you to take the monkey to the zoo.” Sven answered, “I did! Now we’re going to the Dairy Queen.”
Again, I’m sorry… And, please tell this joke to everyone you know!
