Black Friday

This was the first year I went shopping on Black Friday. I had not planned on it, but when I came into work early I saw the lights on at J.C. Penney’s and my car just automatically made a turn into their parking lot! There were lots and lots of people inside, something that was really fun to see. Then I started shopping and the prices were truly worth the stop. A couple shopping bags later I was ready to go to work.
Then Saturday we had a girls day out in Mankato. It was my sister Jane’s birthday and she got to decide what we’d do. We met for lunch at the Olive Garden and then spent the afternoon at Riverhills Mall. Again, it was fun to see the crowds and good to be out on such a beautiful day with my sisters, Mom, Katie and a couple of her cousins. I didn’t get much actual shopping done, but it was a very nice day and I came away with some gift ideas. I’m making my list and looking forward to picking out gifts, wrapping and then giving them – isn’t that the best part!
