The beautiful landscaping of the exterior carries into the cozy warmth of Dave and Terry’s home near Gibbon, Minnesota. As promised in this issue, here are more photos of their beautiful home.

Terry incorporates antique furnishings into every room of their home.

In the kitchen, Terry blended the sleek sophistication of black granite with painted cabinets. “I wanted my cabinets to look like pieces of furniture and to have the old farmhouse look,” she says.
Terry loves the history that log cabins offer. When she found a little 13 x 13 cabin online, David and Terry made the trip to Knoxville, Kentucky to check it out. “We took a four day weekend to Knoxville, toured the area and then met the guy who showed us this cabin. Then we found a trucker who hauls lumber down south and he brought back our cabin in 2003.” Today they visit friends in Ohio who still to this day live in rustic log cabins decorated to the era.

In 2001, David and Terry began a landscaping project that changed their front yard from a place where the kids played baseball into a 600,000 gallon pond. Surrounded by a pebble-shore and vibrant plants, the pond gives their yard a feeling of tranquility. The pond also re-circulates in order to supply the stream with fresh water.
